About Us

DGSWIM is a unique swim program built on generations of experience. Owner, operator and master coach Damien Gulliver is a third-generation swim coach with 37 years of coaching experience. Damien designs all DGSWIM swimming programs and remains actively involved in the daily delivery of sessions.

At DGSWIM, we let our results do the talking. We don't rely on advertising to attract our clients. Instead, we focus on delivering coaching that works, providing a fast-tracked and personalised approach to swimming development.

Damien employs and trains his staff to an exceptional standard. Each member of our coaching team commenced as a DGSWIM pupil, helping ensure the continuation of our coaching culture and service standards. Our coaches understand the importance of consistency and routine, and we limit staff changes wherever possible. This ensures minimal disruption to swimmer progression, with classes also continuing through school and public holidays.

DGSWIM also has a strong and long-standing connection with the local surf lifesaving community. Damien coached surf lifesaving for more than 25 years, and our current coaching team are all lifelong surf club members.

Our understanding of surf club culture and the specific demands of Nippers gives us the ability to design and deliver swimming sessions tailored to the needs of young surf athletes.
