Important DGSWIM Updates

Hi DGSWIM Families,

There are two important updates for families in this notice:

1. DGSWIM Fee Update

Updated lesson and squad fees, including information about our new Small Group Support Program (SGS).

2. New Surf Squad – Starting 7 September

Our new DGSWIM Surf Squad is commencing with morning training sessions for young surf swimmers.

1. DGSWIM Fee Update

Our standard lesson fees have remained unchanged since the end of 2023. During that time, DGSWIM has absorbed significant increases in the cost of operating our programs, with some expenses increasing by as much as 25%, without passing those increases directly on to our families.

We are also very conscious that families are experiencing their own cost-of-living pressures. This has been an important consideration in reviewing our fees, and rather than attempting to recover the full increase in our operating costs, we have kept this adjustment as modest as possible.

Updated DGSWIM Fees

Effective 7 September 2026:

Fees will increase

+$1.50 per lesson

+$3.00 per week for Unlimited Sessions (Squad)

Small Group Support Program (SGS)

We are also introducing our Small Group Support Program (SGS), with a maximum of 3 swimmers per class.

This program is designed for swimmers who benefit from a smaller class environment, additional coach support and more individual attention. The smaller group allows us greater flexibility to adapt instruction and lesson structure to suit the individual learning needs of each swimmer.

Importantly, placement in this program is based on a swimmer's individual learning and support needs rather than a diagnosis. It provides an alternative pathway for children who may find the structure or demands of a mainstream group lesson challenging and who are likely to learn and progress more successfully within a smaller-group environment.

We remain committed to providing high-quality swimming instruction while keeping our fees as fair and accessible as possible for DGSWIM families.

2. New DGSWIM Surf Squad – Starting 7 September

We are pleased to announce the commencement of our new DGSWIM Surf Squad, starting 7 September 2026.

The Surf Squad will provide morning pool training sessions specifically focused on developing the swimming skills and fitness required for surf swimming.
