Dear DGSWIM Families,
We have been advised by Surfers Paradise State School that the pool will be closed on Saturday, 8 August, due to the final stage of scheduled asbestos removal works associated with the school's roof restoration project.
These works are not taking place within the swim school or pool facility itself. However, for the safety of all students, staff and contractors, the entire school site will be closed, meaning there will be no access to the pool or school grounds on Saturday.
Unfortunately, DGSWIM had no involvement in the timing of these works and was only advised once the closure had been confirmed.
